The technical elements of headshot photography — lighting, lens choice, background, retouching — can all be learned and systematised. They're important. But what separates a remarkable headshot from a merely competent one is the expression on the face of the person being photographed.
Nicholas's coaching methodology is built entirely around unlocking genuine, natural expressions in people who aren't professional models. Through specific techniques, conversation, and a relaxed session atmosphere, he reliably produces images where the subject looks like themselves — just at their absolute best.

Our studio at 103 Regent Street, Redfern is a purpose-designed headshot photography space — not a repurposed living room or a rented events space. It's equipped with dedicated studio lighting, multiple backdrop options, a full-size monitor for real-time image review, and a comfortable client area for outfit changes and preparation.
Redfern is one of Sydney's most accessible inner-city suburbs — a short walk from Redfern Station and 10 minutes from the CBD by car. Street parking is available, and we're accessible by bus and train from anywhere in Sydney.
The studio environment is designed to be relaxed and comfortable. We've found that a calm, pleasant session atmosphere directly contributes to better expressions and better headshots — so we've invested in making our space feel that way.
